This series explores digital audio production and sound design through listening, sound basics, an introduction to digital audio, recording essentials: equipment and microphone techniques, an introduction to location sound, mixing with DAWs and plugins, mixing with MIDI, automation, and panning, mixing with EQ and compression, and sound design.
Two-part workshop covering the basics of audio recording, mixing, and experimentation. Participants were introduced to sound theory, signal flow, recording and mixing techniques, field recorders, mixers and interfaces, DAWs, MIDI, signal processing, and synthesizers.
Live sound workshop in collaboration with Girls+ Rock Ottawa introducing live sound mixing techniques. Participants were given an overview of microphones, mixers, mic’ing techniques, and troubleshooting common issues.
